Working at Dishoom Covent Garden
Dishoom is a love letter to Bombay – its food and its culture, its many varied people, its rich history and its endless eccentricities. Dishoom cafés are open all day, every day, serving Bombay comfort food and first-class drinks, from breakfast ’til late and all are welcome. Dishoom Covent Garden is right in the heart of the West End, and inside it carries the thrill and excitement of Bombay’s Talkies era. It’s one of our busiest cafés, lively, warm and full of brilliant people who genuinely care about creating a great experience for guests and for each other. If you enjoy fast-paced service, good humour, and a team that truly looks after one another, you’ll feel right at home here.
Roles at This Café
We're hiring for a range of restaurant and hospitality roles at Dishoom Covent Garden, one of London's busiest and most loved cafés. Whether you’re looking for FOH, Bar, Kitchen or Management opportunities, we offer training, progression and a warm team culture.
We’re often looking for Servers (Waiter/Waitress), Hosts (FOH Team Member/Senior Receptionist), Food Runners (Food Server/Service Assistant), Cocktail Bartenders (Senior Bartenders) and Bar-backs (Bar Support/Bar Team Members). Our kitchens welcome Commis Chefs, CDPs, Tandoor Chefs, Curry Chefs, Sous Chefs and Head Chefs. We also recruit Floor Managers (Assistant Managers, Department Managers, Deputy Managers, Restaurant Managers) and Assistant General Managers.
Life at Dishoom
Your progression really matters to us. You might start as a Runner and grow into a confident Server, or begin as a Bartender and work your way into management through our Babu Masterclass* (our in-house management training). Whatever your path, we’ll support you with thoughtful training, clear progression and Babus* who genuinely care for their teams.
We also try to make life here a little brighter: free team meals, all the chai you can drink, monthly wellness support, generous family-friendly policies, up to 50% off when dining with friends and family, café team get-togethers and big yearly celebrations like our summer Family Mela and Christmas party.
*Babu is a term of respect in India, often used for administrators and officials.
