Please note this is a fixed-term maternity cover role (9-12 months).

What you’ll be doing

  • Oversee our presence on all major social media platforms, with a focus on Instagram and Tiktok. You’ll be pushing out great, story-led content, as well as playful, social-first tactics and driving engagement

  • Be part of the team that creates compelling content in an agile way and using an iPhone (which will involve both photography and videography) that resonates with our audience, hops on the trends that are right for our brand, and aligns with our values
  • Craft and edit on-brand copy for all posts, across the varied platforms.
  • Responsible for managing social media budgets and optimising spend
  • Curate UGC and manage stories to showcase everything that’s happening in Dishoom cafes
  • Regularly analyse social media metrics and prepare reports to track performance against key objectives
  • Support our Head of PR, Social and Partnerships on an ad hoc basis, suggesting ideas - for example - for London-based collabs

About You

  • Spent 3–5 years running social media (ideally in food, drink or hospitality), and you know how to build campaigns that truly land.
  • Got a track record of sparking engagement, creating content that people don’t just see, but feel moved to like, share and talk about.
  • Natural storyteller with a sharp creative eye, tuned into what makes imagery, words and ideas resonate.
  • Clear, warm communicator who loves collaborating and building relationships across teams.
  • Calm under pressure, able to juggle priorities with good cheer, and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Fluent in social tools and analytics, and just as comfortable diving into data as you are dreaming up ideas.
  • Hands-on, sleeves-rolled-up, and happiest when you’re part of a team creating something brilliant together.
  • Got a real love of food and drink, and ideally a curiosity for South Asian culture too.
  • Worked with agencies before, and you know how to guide them with clarity and kindness.
  • Above all, you’re tenacious, entrepreneurial and energised by working in a place that’s creative, non-corporate, and full of heart.
