You're a big-hearted and first-class Dishoom-walli supporting our Restaurant Marketing Manager (South) to deliver our brand and local marketing plans. In your role, you’ll be out and about building and maintaining great relationships with a wide range of community groups, local residents and businesses.


You’ll be a total natural at encouraging people to try Dishoom and Permit Room, and then ensuring these new guests become loyal fans. You’ll engage with local communities through a range of relationship building activities, including events & community walkarounds.


KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES;

  • Covering the South of the UK you’ll build local relationships in order to maintain and elevate Dishoom and Permit Room’s reputation as a top of mind destination and become ‘the face’ of the community. You’ll specifically support some of our sites in London, Brighton, Cambridge and Oxford
  • Champion all marketing initiatives and support your Restaurant Marketing Manager to deliver these in and out of café
  • Support your Restaurant Marketing Manager to organise & deliver local marketing events - from external pop-ups, to hosting community groups in-cafe, and further events that showcase the brand. You’ll provide feedback post-event, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Site visits and in person check-ins to café locations (see above), ensuring all the team are up to date with marketing initiatives and are confident in how to execute. Ensure all collateral is available and up to date & be a go-to-guide for cafe teams
  • You’ll always be considering the Dishoom and Permit Room content pillars, suggesting new marketing ideas & initiatives that support these with the Restaurant Marketing team
  • You’ll always be looking for great social media opportunities, sharing content regularly with the Social Media team, and building / maintaining relationships with local influencers
  • Plan and attend meetings with local community groups and third parties to strengthen local partnerships and establish a foundation for future support.
  • Attend local networking events to build contact list and share news from the Dishoom and Permit Room brands
  • Make suggestions to improve our approach to the Visual Merchandising of the Dishoom Store to grow sales in a natural way that is not harmful to the guest experience.


  • Work on marketing admin tasks including;
  • Voucher requests
  • Local market research
  • Digital footprint audits to ensure all information and imagery is up to date on platforms such as Tripadvisor, Google My Business, as well as our and local partner pages (e.g. estates, apps, directories).
  • Refreshing third party listings and ensuring they’re up to date with new promotions
  • Keeping up to date with key local contact requests
  • Booking in and looking after local influencer visits
  • Ensuring cafe teams are up to date with Marketing promotions/ future events
