(SENIOR) RELATIONSHIP MARKETING MANAGER


ROLE:

You’re a big-hearted and first-class marketing babu, leading local marketing for Dishoom’s London cafes. You’ll be responsible for creating brand-enhancing plans that increase local trade in our cafes by building strong relationships with our landlord and estate teams, local residents, communities, and businesses.

It’s a fast-paced and varied role, overseeing a small team of Local Chatter Wallis, and working closely with the central Chatter Team and the Cafe Teams. Monitoring performance closely, you’ll make rapid and effective interventions when needed, while ensuring our ‘Dharma’ is brought to life for every guest.

You’ll be a total natural at building relationships and enjoy uncovering new opportunities to deliver brilliant guest experiences and support the specific goals of each London cafe.


COMMERCIAL:

  • Defining monthly and yearly local marketing strategies that support the central marketing, communications and brand strategies for our London cafés.
  • Tracking restaurant performance analytics across operational, guest and marketing metrics, doubling down on what’s working and pulling back on what’s not.
  • Working with, and managing, a small team of Local Chatter Wallis (Cafe Hosts who spend dedicated time on local marketing each week), liaising with GMs, to create and execute cafe specific marketing plans that reflect the challenges and opportunities for each cafe. Ensure all cafe teams have the tools, resources and support needed to achieve their goals.
  • Building and fostering strong relationships with 3rd parties including landlord/estate teams, local offices/businesses, hospitality, resident and community groups with the aim of deepening connections, growing local exposure, and maximising covers/bookings for each cafe.
  • Management of Local Marketing budget for London Cafes, ensuring it is used effectively across promotional opportunities and local events to reach each cafe’s goals.
  • Monitoring overall effectiveness and efficiency of the local marketing toolkit and promotions, alongside identifying and developing new cafe propositions with central teams to excite guests encouraging first-time and repeat visits.
  • Report weekly on headline wins and losses for each cafe.


BRAND COMMUNICATIONS:

  • Ensuring café briefs and all in-café and promotional activity are being delivered to spec, achieving the desired results, and feeding back learnings and improvements for future activities.
  • Working alongside the Brand Marketing Managers to support seasonal and cultural events, and with the Local Chatter Wallis and Cafe Teams to deliver hosted in-cafe events and external activations.
  • Working with Customer Experience, Brand and Creative Teams to develop and inform a roadmap of communications that excite our guests with activities that are happening in cafes.
  • Being a key point of liaison with the Operations and Guest Services teams: attending meetings, providing updates and reporting on progress against goals and targets.
  • Facilitate the sharing of knowledge, insights and best practices between central and café teams.
