Permit Room is an all-day bar-café serving up delicious breakfasts, seriously good bar snacks, moreish curries, and plates for sharing (all with a selection of signature Dishoom delights). There’s also a knock-out line-up of cocktails to wash it all down with. Local DJs are on the decks, spinning worn vinyls and favourite grooves. It’s our tribute to the way Bombay kicks back and cuts loose – a salute to the city’s permit rooms, beer bars and drinking holes. Bricked freshly into New Inn Hall Street, Permit Room Oxford is bright, friendly and full of neighbourhood charm. The team here enjoy a warm, relaxed atmosphere with plenty of support from one another. Roles at This Permit Room
We’re hiring for a range of bar and hospitality roles at Permit Room Oxford, a bright and friendly neighbourhood all-day bar-cafe with a relaxed, sociable feel. Whether you’re looking for FOH, Bar, Kitchen or Management opportunities, we offer training, progression and a warm team culture.
We’re often looking for Servers (Waiter/Waitress), Hosts (FOH Team Member/Senior Receptionist), Food Runners (Food Server/Service Assistant), Cocktail Bartenders (Senior Bartenders) and Bar-backs (Bar Support/Bar Team Members).
Our kitchens welcome Commis Chefs, CDPs, Tandoor Chefs, Curry Chefs, Sous Chefs and Head Chefs.
 We also recruit Floor Managers (Assistant Managers, Department Managers, Deputy Managers, Restaurant Managers) and Assistant General Managers.

We pay on a monthly basis.</li><li>A full-time role working across 5 days, Monday - Sunday availability required.</li><li>A weekly changing rota provided at least 6 days in advance.</li><li>We're an all day dining Cafe, meaning our teams work a variety of daytime and evening shifts (not the usual always late nights!)</li><li>Access to our award-winning training programmes and support. We focus on your development from day one and proudly promoted 211 Dishoomwalles last year!</li><li>The usual number of days holiday a year - paid for, including tronc. We are looking for curious, energetic and helpful people to join our team as part of our Floor Support Team.
